The Senior Adults of Carterville Baptist Church are a very active group. The KEENAGERS, as they are known, have a regular monthly meeting, participate in Associational events for Seniors, and enjoy other opportunities of fellowship together.
Keenager's Korner
The Senior Adult Ministry of Carterville is a very active group of adults. They have a regularly monthly meeting that is held on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 11:30 a.m. This meeting, called the Keenager's Luncheon, is a time for fellowship, fun, entertainment, and most of all food. Food for this meeting is provided by the Keenager's themselves. (We have some great cooks among us!)
Several of our Seniors assist in hands-on mission work by serving in the food line at the Christian Services Center in Hattiesburg, deliver "Meals On Wheels" to those in our community who are homebound and others stay very active by serving as volunteers at the local hospitals.
Adult Bible Study
(Meets every Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. In the Church Library)
This weekly meeting of Adults is a ministry that is directly related to our Senior Adult Ministry. Although the ABS is open to anyone who would like to come, it has become a weekly opportunity for our Seniors to feast on a bit of "Spiritual Food". Classes are taught by several individuals and the topics of discussion change monthly.
